Why is it that I do not always reap what I have sown?

As simple as this question sounds, yet it carries very serious issues of concern to many people. One goes out daily to toil and comes back with little or nothing to show for it. You cannot pay your rent and children’s school fees without begging here and there. Another does only very little and is blessed so abundantly.

Looking at the two situations, which indeed are quite common, the temptation is then there to begin to suggest that God Almighty might somehow be partial. Or how else do you explain the disparity? But that is not the case. The Creator is Perfect and Just.

The Spiritual Law of Sowing and Reaping, just as all the other Spiritual Laws, works in a minutely perfect way. Perfect in the sense that it does not shift or alter on the basis of one’s gender, religion, tribe, and belief system; nor does it take into consideration one’s position or status. So, it is not correct to assume that one does not reap what one has sown; everyone does and in multiples.

Many however are confused sometimes because they always judge or interpret the effect of this Law based on one earth life; whereas the effect spans through all man’s present and previous earth lives.

Let me explain. Each human being has several opportunities of repeated earth lives- in what we call re-incarnations. In this, it is the spirit that goes through the process; and this spirit of man each time accumulates new experiences, as an addition to existing ones. In other words, the harvests of every sowing of spiritual seeds in a particular earth life await the person either in the same or a future earth life. This is how it is so correct that the evil that men do lives after them!

Nobody can escape the effect and perfect processes of the Law. This is what explains the noticeable variation in the experiences of earthmen.

Each experiencing again provides new opportunities for the sowing of new spiritual seeds; whereby man has the grace to either redeem of his past misdeeds or sow such additional seeds to bring him greater blessings and ultimately, bring him eternal spiritual salvation.
