Since God created all things, did He create evil?

To many, it is a puzzle how evil, which is bringing untold sufferings to mankind, came upon the earth. In grappling with this, some then seek to claim that indeed there are two forces in Creation: the force of good and the force of evil. If you stretch this further, it would mean that there are two rulers, one being God, and the other the Devil. Little wonder therefore that persons have got to the absurd point of professing that they are worshippers of Satan.

Creation is ruled and governed by one power only. This power comes from God Almighty in a neutral form. It is this power that sustains all things in Creation.

This neutral sustaining power from God permeates and affects all things in an uplifting and up-building manner. It would be found in the soil, rocks, water, sunlight, air, and natural vegetation. It is the source of the healing power obtained from the living radiations of all that we call natural elements.

This power is constantly absorbed by man, and then transformed through man’s inner nature. This is similar to the activity of a reflective glass. Through man’s activities, this neutral power from on High is trapped or collected; transformed and directed at different parts of Creation, according to the driving volition of man.

If man’s volition is good and noble, the effect of the living power would bring about greater good in society. If, on the contrary, man’s volition is bad and evil, the effect of the living power would bring about evil consequences in man’s environment. The prevalence of evil on earth today therefore shows that men have used this neutral power more in the negative and evil direction than for the good.

One may then ask: why was man created with the possibility to do evil? It is not that man was created with the possibility to do evil; rather man was created with a free will. This free will is an intrinsic part of the human spirit; and enables every human spirit to engage in free choices. There is also a counter balancing effect from man’s intuition, such that man is urged mainly on the part of good and not evil. Man must fight hard to silence this intuition, which also manifests as his conscience, before he can do an evil act.

It is therefore only natural in accordance with the Spiritual Law of Sowing and Reaping that the more evil men do the more they would harvest evil in return. It is therefore man who creates evil by yielding to influences of Lucifer and perpetrating evil deeds. It is man, too, who thereby brought about the existence of Hell.

Man also shall see to the elimination of evil; either willingly or by force, through the Divine Power manifesting in the Last Judgement.
