Death, that is, the separation of the soul from the physical body, is a natural occurrence. It is the closing of a cycle, which begins with birth, or better said, begins with the entry of the soul into the growing foetus in the mother’s womb around the middle of pregnancy. Like everything else in the world of matter in which we presently find ourselves, our physical body goes through the cycle of growth – childhood, youth, adulthood, old age and then death – the dissolution of the physical body, which again is only a transition. The soul within the body discards its earthly cloak and enters into the world of fine gross matter, into the planes of existence, which we call with great oversimplification “the beyond” or “the great beyond”.
If the biblical quote from Hebrews Chapter 9 Verse 27 refers to gross material physical death of the human body, then this statement is incorrect because as human spirits who incarnate into the gross material we do not die but continue to pursue a conscious existence in the planes of that which we call the beyond.
We are also granted through the grace of the Creator the opportunity to reincarnate in gross matter, which means, we can come back to this gross material plane repeatedly and further our maturing and experiencing on it. All of us now living on this earth, or who are born into the world of gross matter, have lived before on this earth. This is not our first time of coming here.
As human spirits, we are endowed by the Creator with the ability to make independent decisions. With each decision however comes a responsibility. Whatever we put into Creation comes back to us. Our chickens come home to roost. Or, as is also often said nowadays, “what goes around comes around”. We reap what we sow.
The spiritual consequences or repercussions of the various decisions which we make during the earth-lives that we lead are anchored in planes of existence close to or adjacent to our present earth plane. Before we can move forward, we have to traverse and experience in those fields the fruits of our volition- our intuitions, words and deeds. This is the judgement that we experience after physical death. It does not happen once but rather repeatedly after each earth life.
There is however another kind of death – spiritual death which is final and irrevocable and terrible in its consequences for all human beings who put themselves into this danger. Spiritual death occurs when a human spirit refuses to acknowledge and follow God’s Laws in Creation and stubbornly ties itself to the gross material world and sees only this as existent and of value.
In tying himself to gross matter, the human spirit also ties itself to the fate of all that is material, which is dissolution once it reaches the end of its cycle. Like all else in the world of matter, even this earth comes to a point where it becomes overripe and decays – it enters into the funnel of disintegration in which it is broken down into its constituent parts to start a new cycle. The human spirits sucked into this funnel of disintegration however, will have the ego consciousness, which they have developed over millennia stripped from them. They lose their personal ego consciousness – a process accompanied by extreme pain, torment and despair. It is the most terrible fate that can befall man. This spiritual death occurs only once for each human spirit, which is proven unworthy in the world judgement that is now unfolding, of enjoying continued existence in creation.
The world judgement or final judgement however precedes spiritual death. Depending upon how man experiences the judgement, he will decide if his future path lies upwards or downwards towards disintegration. This loss of its personal ego-consciousness however is simultaneous with the expunging of its name from the book of life.
